Kristin Samuelson has been helping people improve their voices for 30 years. She brings years of classical singing and teaching singing, blends it with breathing and alignment techniques--yoga and Alexander Technique--and adds diction and articulation. Currently an actress for film and TV, her acting techniques come in handy as well! A speech pathologist, but more. Whether your issues involve just a little tweaking or a major overhaul, there's a slightly different approach for everyone.
About the doctor...
Over the years Kristin noticed that many singers had problematic speaking voices and their singing voices suffered as a result. In earning her doctorate from Columbia, she minored in speech pathology and researched women with speech problems. She has been working with the speaking voice ever since!
Kristin has worked with people from all walks of life. Lawyers requiring more presence in the court room. Business people desiring to move up the corporate ladder. TV newscasters needing to brush up their skills and confidence. A scientist wanting to give more interesting lectures in order to land a job at a good university. Actors who had to speak more clearly and without a regional accent. A professional wrestler needing to speak well enough to be on TV. Tour guides requiring more stamina and projection for talking endless hours. Writers who were giving talks about their work. And even--a bride who wanted to clarify and beautify her voice for her wedding!
